The brief: To redesign the existing logo for Varietea, an online company that sends a monthly selection of 30 different teas to subscribers.
The company was aware that their existing brand image needed to be updated, the remit being to appeal to ‘instagramming millenials’, ultimately widening the company profile via social media.
The website was already in place, but the existing typography needed to be brought up to date, so a hand-written style was selected to offer a ‘personal’ aesthetic and a style that was readily transferrable to different backgrounds and products. A fresh colour choice livened up the logo, adding a freshness that transferred well at any size. In addition, the strapline was revitalised and replaced with ‘An adventure in every cup’ - reinforcing the wide choice of products the company has to offer.
Varietea needed the re-design to be ready for use on marketing materials and on social media in short order, to coincide with a re-launch at Lincoln Christmas Market 2017.
