Africa's Hidden Gems
We were approached by our client Rosalind Kainyah to create branding for a new project which promotes Africa’s medium-sized enterprises that are leading the charge in tackling some of the continent’s most pressing sustainability challenges in unique and innovative ways.
Creating a visual metaphor from the brand name, the graphic mark derives from the rare gemstones found primarily in Africa, pulling colour from the most rare, Fancy Sapphires and creating the continent out of gemstone shapes. The modern typeface brings personality through its unique letterforms. Offsetting the words to visually capture the emergence of the people and businesses they seek to shine the spotlight on.
