The Summer of Ceramics, held at the hall in the Summer of 2019 featured exhibitions of contemporary art presented alongside the hall’s extraordinary ceramics collection gathered over 300 years. There were new displays and tours, talks and demonstrations from leading artists, makers and ceramics experts.

Contemporary ceramic artworks, situated against traditional and historic backdrops inspired the design of the brochure and accompanying materials.

We created a visually rich layout with a contemporary grid system to set the supplied text and photography in a visually engaging aesthetic. Our aim was to create a subtle surprise on each page turn, just as you might be surprised by the items displayed as you turn a corner of the exhibition.
