Introducing Soka's Lighthouse Project

After more than a decade of running Soka and partnering with major corporate clients, we’ve reached a point where we want to give back in a meaningful and sustainable way.  

We’ve seen how transformative great design can be. How the right online presence can illuminate an organisation’s purpose, guide people toward its mission, and help it stand strong in a crowded digital world. Yet for many charities, the cost of a professionally designed website can feel like an impossible barrier. With typical builds starting at £10,000 or more, becoming visible can be a real challenge.

That is why we created Soka’s Lighthouse Project.

Each year, we will support six charities, one every two months, by designing and developing a completely custom website for a one-off fee of just £500, plus £300 per year for hosting and domain. This small fee simply covers the designer’s time, the delivery of personalised training, and the costs of promoting the initiative so that it reaches charities who truly need the support.

Just as a lighthouse helps travellers find their way, this project is built to help charities be found, be seen, and shine online. A strong digital presence shouldn’t be a luxury, especially for organisations doing vital, impact-driven work.

Through Soka’s Lighthouse Project, each selected charity will receive:

• A bespoke, professionally designed website, crafted around their content and story.
• A high-quality build in Wix Studio, giving flexibility, longevity, and ease of management.
• A 1:1 training session, empowering the charity to confidently update and manage their site.
• No ongoing costs, other than the standard annual hosting and domain fee.

Our mission is simple: to remove financial barriers and ensure charities have a digital “beacon” – something that helps them stand tall, attract support, and clearly communicate their purpose. With the Lighthouse Project, we’re pleased to provide an exceptional online foundation at an accessible cost, helping charities shine a little brighter in the world.

Slot 1: Start date of 5 January 2026, launching by 27 February 2026 – NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Slot 2: Start date of 2 March 2026, launching by 30 April 2026
Slot 3: Start date of 4 May 2026, launching by 26 June 2026
Slot 4: Start date of 6 July 2026, launching by 28 August 2026
Slot 5: Start date of 7 September 2026, launching by 30 October 2026
Slot 6: Start date of 2 November 2026, launching by 18 December 2026

This helps us to build a good understanding of your requirements so we can ensure we're a good fit before we give the go-ahead on working together.
